Dark Souls II - Menu Theme on Piano

When I heard that Sakuraba would be returning for this soundtrack I was so excited to hear his progression from the first Dark Souls game. Sakuraba is mostly known for his work on Star Ocean, Golden Sun, Tales Saga, etc. Most of his previous works had a heavy influence on progressive rock. So I was curious how he would explain the Dark Souls world through his music. The audio production for Dark Souls 2 really diminished in quality from its predecessor.

I love the simplicity and atmosphere of this piece. I was lucky enough to find a score for the Menu Theme. Dark Souls II soundtrack was pretty lacking for a select few. Props go to Sebastien for making such a beautiful arrangement while still capturing the mysteriousness of the original. Sadly the menu theme was not included on the soundtrack. I do plan on doing more Dark Souls, Naruto, and Lightning Returns in the future.
