0. INTRO (0:00)
Who am I to give you a Doodly review? Well, I've been working with online animation software for the past 10 years. During that time, if tested all the tools and used the best to create 250+ videos.

1. FAIR PRICE (1:10)
Doodly comes at a really friendly price point—$39/month for the Standard plan. Although, you can get a lifetime deal for $67 if you find the ad for it. Whatever price you find, I think the relation between quality and price is decent.

2. CUSTOM PATHS (1:58)
One of the coolest features of Doodly is its ability to create custom drawing paths around imported images. You just add a number of control points along the periphery and Doodly will make it look like the imported is drawn whiteboard animation style.

3. AUTO DURATION (2:34)
Beginners are gonna love this; this animation tool takes care of scene timings for you. When you add more, the scene duration extends. When you allocate more time to one thing, the whole scene is automatically made longer.

4. WORK OFFLINE (3:07)
Doodly can be used without an internet connection. Pretty awesome for people living in rural areas. However, you do need internet to save your projects and expand the libraries. But still a cool feature.

5. LIMITED LIBRARIES (3:55)
Bryxen, the company behind both Doodly and Toonly, has done it again—an animation tool with very limited libraries, if you don't want to upgrade to higher plans. Or buy the add-ons like packages and Doodly Rainbow.

6. ANIMATIONS FIRST (4:32)
I don't like to create animations before I narrate my voice-over. That is however the best way to use Doodly. This clashes with the process I use and promote in all my courses.

7. WINDOWS FIRST (5:23)
Doodly seems to be made for Windows users primarily. I get this feeling from their use of double-clicks and double-confirmations. Not an interface we Mac-users appreciate very much.

8. ROUGH TEXTS (6:02)
Using texts in Doodly is a big part of what the whiteboard animation maker does. So, it's sad to see how little low the animation of these texts has gotten. They are rough. Really rough.

9. FINAL VERDICT (6:31)
What is the conclusion of this long, thorough Doodly review? When I mix the good and the bad aspects of this whiteboard software, I'm left with a pretty good feeling that this can be the right tool for the right audience.
