Milkor, a proud South African defence and aerospace leader, proudly showcased its groundbreaking 30-metre Interceptor vessel for the first time at NAVDEX 2025 in Abu Dhabi. This cutting-edge vessel represents a leap forward in maritime capability, designed to dominate littoral missions with unmatched speed, agility, and mission-critical awareness.

Crafted to tackle high-stakes operations like counter-piracy, illegal fishing, and anti-drug trafficking, the Milkor Interceptor sets itself apart with its bold commitment to unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) integration. At the heart of its design is a standout feature: a spacious helipad—or more precisely, a vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) UAV pad—perched atop a hangar that spans a significant portion of the vessel. This pad is engineered to support UAVs with wingspans of up to 3.5 metres. We’ve prioritised this expansive deck to ensure our UAVs are equipped for long-range intelligence gathering or mission execution beyond the horizon, whatever the task demands. Control of these aerial assets is seamlessly integrated into the bridge, alongside advanced navigation systems and operational consoles, creating a unified command hub.
