Every students who gets enrolled in a PhD programme in India , in any type of university- or even Institute of National Importance, has to first complete what we call is COURSEWORK.
Coursework can be called as a refresher or preparatory course for the phd students. All phd scholars have to study a minimum of 8/12 credits and subjects recommended by their PhD guide & RAC.
In the end of the coursework an exam is held which students have to clear by getting a minimum of 55% marks.
