Here's one of the best Jazz Improv Exercise To Do Every Day and Master 2-5 Progressions in Minor. Works for All Levels. Jazz Tutorial.

It is 7-step exercise you can practice every day.
Step 1: Play the sus2 on the b3 of the m7b5 chord and move down a whole step on the V chord
Step 2: Play the sus2 on the b3 of the m7b5 chord and move up a minor 3rd step on the V chord
Step 3: Practice step 2 over a 2-5-1 in minor. On the 1 minor chord move the sus2 a half-step down.
Step 4: Practice step 1 over a 2-5-1 in minor. On the 1 minor chord move the sus2 a minor 3rd down.
Step 5: Practice 2-5- in minor resolving to a major chord. On the 1 major chord mode the sus2 a half step down.
Step 6: Practice step 4 over a Jazz Standard. Use the same technique for 2-5 in major (it works!)
Step 7: Practice step 5 over a Jazz Standard. Use the same technique for 2-5 in major (it works!)
Don't forget to practice "free play" after the last step.
