The history of the transition between companies can be confusing at times, and it doesn't get any better than this: the progression from the 1890s Eagle Pencil Co. to today's brand Papermate. Here I illustrate a basic idea of some of the mergers that happened between some of the involved pencil companies, illustrated by some pencils I happen to own. Hope you like it!
