Jack Taylor was born 1922 in St Louis. He dropped out of Washington University in St Louis to fight in WW2, where he was a decorated pilot. In 1957, he started a car leasing business with 7 cars. In 1969, he renamed his company Enterprise , which was the name of the aircraft carrier he flew during WW2. Soon he added Pick Up Services. He avoided the airport in the beginning. By 2010, Enterprise Rent-A-Car had surpassed Hertz and Avis as the world's leading car rental company. In 2016, Jack Taylor died at age 94. In January 2020, his grand daughter Chrissy Taylor became President and CEO of Enterprise Holding and his company has 10,000 location worldwide with 600,000 cars.
