Chevy Colorado ZR2 Factory Jack & Spare Tire - Upgrade to the Safe Jack Off-Road Private Kit

I wanted to learn where the factory jack is located in my Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 and how to access the spare tire on my terms in the comfort of my driveway, as opposed to somewhere in the middle of nowhere when it is zero dark thirty and pouring down rain.

What I learned is the factory jack's working load limit is almost 600 pounds below the curb weight of the ZR2. That dog won't hunt. The spare tire is mounted on the ZR2 package rim and has no anti-theft devices.

I wanted something I could depend upon and lift the weight of my fully-outfitted ZR2 in some back country location in order to change a tire or help me dig out if high-centered.

I've added the Safe Jack (Made in USA) "Private" Off-Road Kit which includes a 6 ton Omega Bottle Jack, extensions, and two additional "pad" options. This bigger kit also means if I come across somebody else in a jam in a larger truck/vehicle, the Safe Jack can handle the load, if I need to lend a hand.
