On the bench today is a Siku brand tour bus, featuring the Children of the World on it. On the front bumper is a MAN logo from the bus and truck manufacturer.

The Beatles, from Liverpool, England were, and remain today, one of the most popular rock bands ever. Their psychedelic Magical Mystery Tour came out in late 1967 on the heels of their very successful Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band LP. As Beatles fan #1, it was nothing short of a pilgrimage for me to get to Liverpool, England in the summer of 2010 and to go on this tour, which takes you to all their birth homes, the church where John met Paul, and down Penny Lane. I relived every mile of that tour while working on this bus - a sentimentally special project for me.

FYI: All of the Maple Leaf Customs finished projects that are kid-friendly are put in custom blister packs and go to my local Goodwill store where they are given to children for free. If there are parts that can be swallowed, those cars are given as gifts to adult collectors that are fellow enthusiasts.
