What is happening to the world right now is overwhelming, at least from the vantage point of where I am standing. Like I said before poetry has always been cathartic for me. In fact , I penned down this poem while I myself while I was on isolation, as a patient.

In the quarantine facility I was left with so much time in my hands and without other means of entertaining myself. I was trapped in a loop of watching news over and over. Images and videos of what is happening in India, Brazil and my home country , the Philippines bombarded my head. I was quite overwhelm. I know that if I don't write it down it will keep on reminding me of all the things I could have said.

The bottom line is the pandemic is far from over. Always make sure to practice proven health protocols of social distancing, hand washing , wearing of mask. Encourage one and another to have yourselves vaccinated. If you are healthy and there are no contraindications please have yourselves vaccinated. One way we can achieve herd immunity and end Covid-19 is through vaccination.

Above all else, practice kindness, for with that we begin to care about the consequences of our actions towards other.
