Facebook struck a deal with major telecom company Reliance Jio in India. Since then Facebook has bought 9.99 shares in Jio platforms and since then many companies have invested in Jio.

Google is considering an agreement with Vodafone-Idea to increase its presence in India to compete with Facebook in a new news story. According to the report, Google is planning to buy a 5 percent stake in Vodafone-Idea.

Facebook's $ 5.7 billion investment in the Jio platform has sprung up in the telecom sector and companies are now moving more strongly. Now Google's investment in Vodafone Idea means that the company going through its worst phase has got a lifeline so that they can re-establish themselves in the market.


Google and Facebook have realized that if they want to increase their market in India, they will have to work with telecom companies. With more than 451 million internet users in the year 2019, India is the second largest internet market in the world after China. But both these companies are banned in China and the kind of cooperation Google and Facebook are seeking is not possible in China. Because of this, both these companies have to find investment avenues in India.
