Vivek Puntambekar is a Science graduate but concentrated on Arts & Cultural field which made him a successful Film Critic. He started writing column related to various departments of Film Industry , rather various aspects of film production.He wrote articles on not only Front artists but also backstage or Technicians such as Editor,Cameraman etc.
He wrote many Episodes for Win Radio & Radio city. He worked as Expert for many musical shows on Doordarshan. He presents audiovisual show Gujra hua jamana based on film music.Right now he writes on every sunday in News paper Maharashtra Dinman.
Vivek Puntambekar actively participates as editor in an Audio visual show Tumhe yaad karte karte ,tribute to Shankar Jaikishen bcoz he is a die hard fan of Shanker Jaikishen.
