Welcome to Part 62 of our Laravel 12 Multi-Vendor E-commerce Tutorial Series, where we’re building a complete, professional Multi-Vendor E-commerce Website from scratch.

From this part, we will start working on Product filters. We will sort the products by lowest and highest price, newest items, best-selling, featured items, and discounted items.

We will do Product Sorting in 2 ways:-
1) With Refresh of Page
2) Without Refresh of Page via Ajax

In this part, we will do a product sorting filter with a refresh of the page without Ajax.

🛠️ Step-by-Step Implementation

Sorting Filter with Form & Service Updates

1️⃣ Update Sort Form in ajax_products_listing.blade.php

We will wrap the sort options inside a form using Bootstrap dropdown


2️⃣ Create custom.js in /public/front/js/

We will add a jQuery listener to handle form submission on sort change

3️⃣ Include custom.js in scripts.blade.php

4️⃣ Update ProductService
We will update the getCategoryListingData function to use the applyFilters method for sorting:

✅ Now, users can sort products dynamically using the dropdown form. The selection persists across pagination using withQueryString().

In the next part, we will work on AJAX-based product filters for an enhanced user experience.
