Swingin' Shepherd Blues (melodica)

Описание к видео Swingin' Shepherd Blues (melodica)

Swingin’ Shepherd Blues
This song was written in 1957 by Moe Hoffman a Canadian jazz musician. It took over the pop charts in 1958 and was later recorded by several great performers including Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, and Natalie Cole.
This instrument is a Suzuki-Hammond alto melodica with 44 keys. The melodica was invented in the 1950s as an instrument for use in music education classrooms, and combines elements of a harmonica and an accordion. Today it has become a solo and ensemble instrument in its own right.

Along the mountain pass
There is a patch of grass
Where the swingin' shepherd plays a tune
His sheep never stray, dancing all day
Until they see the palin' yellow moon
And then he leads his flock
And homeward they all rock
To the tune of the swingin' shepherd blues
