TRIP REPORT | Finnair A350-900XWB (ECONOMY) | London Heathrow to Helsinki | Full Flight!

TRIP REPORT: Finally I got to fly on the FINNAIR Airbus A350-900XWB from London Heathrow (LHR) to Helsinki Vantaa Airport (HEL) in Economy Class. The flight time is only around 2 hours and 30 minutes so just a short hop in comparison with the long haul flights to Asia offered by Finnair. However for me it was a great opportunity to fly Finnair for the first time and also the A350 within Europe! Seat for my wing view was 32A. Boarding in London went smoothly and onboard you were greeted by a friendly crew and a very modern cabin product. After departure i watched a movie on the personal video screen that can be found in each seat. The inflight service on this flight only included free drinks which is poor in my opinion since the ticket price from London to Helsinki is very expensive most of the times... Further snacks or sandwiches could be purchased at extra cost. The flight was nearly fully booked so it justifies the usage of this bigger long haul aircraft on this short flight. During the flight the mood light was used well and before landing they displayed northern lights (didn't know they also do it - I only knew Icelandair has it). After a good landing in snowy Helsinki a bus brought us to the Terminal. From there I went to my hotel waiting for my flight back to London (also A350 again).
