Capri - Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby (2017)

Glory in Ireland's biggest Classic - Capri beats Cracksman and Wings Of Eagles to land the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby under jockey Seamie Heffernan for trainer Aidan O'Brien.

Sixth in the Derby at Epsom, Capri reverses the form in no uncertain terms this time, benefiting from a positive ride to become yet another top-level winner for super stallion Galileo and the 12th winner in the Classic for the all-conquering Aidan O'Brien.

A sad postcript - the Derby winner at Epsom, Wings Of Eagles, was running on the racecourse for the final time here after being diagnosed with a fractured sesamoid on the morning after the race.
