Indian Trail East Palisades is my favorite place to hike just outside of Atlanta. This area provides it all from a walk along the river, overlooks, caves and a magical bamboo forest along the trail. Best of all, this trail is part of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area and the surrounding areas have not been developed for over 50 years so you feel as if you are hiking in the mountains when you are really in the city.

If you are looking for the best places to hike in Georgia, I definitely recommend checking this place out! Parking is $5 and is limited so come early to avoid traffic.
