But the exact measurement can be determined by taking a number of coins and placing them one upon the other.
By measuring the total thickness using a metre scale and dividing it by the number of coins, the thickness of one coin can be found. For example, if the thickness of ten 50 paise coins = 2.8 cm, then
Thickness of one coin = 2.8/10 cm = 0.28 cm or 2.8 mm
You can use this method to determine the thickness of a page in this book or a playing card.
