SSS3 Mathematics: Trigonometry

In this lesson plan which is adaptable for students, we will also use measurement resources to explore trigonometry in differentiated activities.

Students will:
Identify Trigonometry.
Learn how to work with Angles - Degrees and Radians Lesson
Annalise the right Triangle Trigonometry
Learn about the trigonometric Functions of Any Angle
Work out Sine and Cosine Graphs
Work out other Trigonometric Graphs Inverse Trigonometric Functions
Explain the fundamental Trigonometric Identities
Explain why do we need trigonometry?


Vocabulary
Trigonometric ratio, Sine, Cosine, Tangent, SOH, CAH, TOA

Materials
Copy of text lesson Trigonometric Ratios and Similarity for each student, with important words, concepts, and phrases replaced with blanks. write the lesson into a word document and then insert blanks where appropriate to highlight key concepts of trigonometry.
Math journal OR blank paper
Rulers
Protractors
