This was hard! The Laurel Highlands 70.5 mile ultra was tougher than anticipated largely due to my inability to train due to an ankle injury; running 100km undertrained. This trail race runs along the entire Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail, and is beautiful! So many picturesque spots! Throughout this trail race I had to embrace the quote "Make friends with suffering and you'll never be alone."
