The Bad, the Bad and the Bad! That’s Jim Davis, Lee Van Cleef and Marty Robbins! They are outlaws in RAIDERS OF OLD CALIFORNIA, released, but not produced by Republic Pictures in 1957.

Following the Mexican-American War, a US Cavalry troop, led by ex-Captain Jim Davis, turns crooked and grabs Mexican land to control the California and Arizona territories. Lots of action in this film loaded with recognizable faces. Besides Davis and Van Cleef, country western stars Marty Robbins and Faron Young saddle up. Marty rides with the outlaws but Young is on the righteous side of law and order. Both are pretty good, but Faron Young shines as a US Marshall and could have done more. Veterans Harry Lauter, Douglas Fowley, Lawrence Dobkin, Don Diamond, Rick Vallin, Louis Jean Heydt and leading lady Arleen Whelan round out the cast. Directed by Al Gannaway.
