Did you know butterflies need host plants (unattractive plants where they lay their eggs) and nectar/food source plants( with attractive flowers) for their survival. Both type of plants are vital for their survival. When a farmer take the weed plants away, they might be unknowingly removing the host plants (with their eggs) thereby killing the next generation of butterflies/ pollinators. A farmer doing this in one country might be affecting the orange or lemon production in the nearby or far away 2 or 3 countries!!
Did you know butterflies also migrate like birds to warmer climate countries from cold climate countries to lay eggs there and the adults come back to cold climate countriesin Summer smelling the scent of flowers???
