Psytrance FM leads with Sylenth1 // 50 Shades of FM Ep50

Hello internet, Sylenth1 is far from the synthesizer we typically associate with FM leads in modern Psytrance.
However, the truth is, it has a hidden feature that enables the creation of some truly unique FM leads. Since it's a virtual analog synthesizer, these leads come with a distinctive edgy character.

This hidden feature lies within Sylenth1's LFOs. They can operate in the audible range, going beyond 20Hz and reaching as high as 192Hz. Also, they can be synced to tempo and phase-retriggered with each new note.
So, if our project is running at a BPM above 140, and we set the LFO to modulate the pitch of the oscillator at a rate of at least 1/32 with a shape like ramp up, we can will create an FM patch.

Now, we have the flexibility to alter the oscillator and LFO shapes, filter the sound using a bandpass or our favorite filter shape, add effects, and use it in our track as we like.
But the possibilities don't end there. Sylenth1 allows us to control the phase of the oscillator and the offset of the LFO modulation, providing two additional timbre controls to experiment and spice our FM patches with.
