How we go about prepping wheels for powder coating and trouble shooting issues.

After using a chemical strip to remove the paint off the wheels its very important to out gas them. This is done in the oven, we like to set it to 470 and once the part hits that temperature we let them cook for 30 to 45 mins. Once cool we blast them to clean and provide a nice even texture. We then hang them and rinse with clean water, wash with a soap like dawn, hit with the air hose to blow off excess water and then dry in the oven.
