Welcome to my short playlist on how to register a limited company in the UK in 2021.

I’ve broken this down into a short series of videos:
– First, the one minute summary, for the tik tok generation (s1eX)
– Then episode zero, THE IDEA (s1e0)
– Episode one is all about PROS AND CONS (s1e1)
– Episode two is very important, the last minute WARNINGS! (s1e2)
– Episode three is the big one, the SCREEN BY SCREEN guide (s1e3)
– Episode four is about INSURANCE, BANKING, etc. (s1e4)
– Episode five is something that concerns us all: HMRC AND TAXES (s1e5)
– And Episode six is a quick guide to WHAT YOU NEED TO DO NEXT (s1e6)

As I hope the one minute video shows, we can teach you how to register a limited company very quickly… but if you want to be sure you know what you are doing and have considered all the important things you need to know before and after the registration itself, then you should get a cup of tea and take an hour to watch these through and follow along at home. Starting a new ltd company in the UK in 2021 isn’t a painful thing to do, but it helps to have someone guide you through it and point out the places you need to watch your step, as well as the places you can just run straight ahead without stopping.

In this series I’ll answer such burning questions:
– What can you call a limited company in the UK? (s1e3)
– Can you use your home address as a registered address? (s1e3)
– What are the disadvantages of starting a ltd co? (s1e1)
– Do you need to have a business bank account? (s1e4)
– What’s the very cheapest way to start a ltd UK co? (s1e1)
– How soon will taxes hit you and which should you worry about first? (s1e5)
– What four things do you need to have ready if you are scatterbrained? (s1e2)
– When does your SIC code matter? (s1e3)
– What is a limited company (and why is creating one is like having a baby)? (s1e1)
– Why was weed criminalised? (s1e0)
– How many words can I say in 52 seconds? (s1eX)

And once more for the robots in the audience, in this series I’m discussing the top six pros and top three cons of forming a uk limited company in 2021, and not in the following order I’ll be telling you everything I think you need to know including the top 10 names to avoid and discussing from start to finish how to go about screen-by-screen walking you through what you need to know about setting up a limited company, registering a ltd co, starting a UK company and making a startup UK ltd company. This one’s for the shareholders and the directors and most importantly for the shareholder-directors. This is, in a very real sense, a step by step tutorial.

If we haven't met yet, then hi, I'm Benedict, I'm a Chartered Accountant. This channel is my place to give tips and advice to freelancers, small business owners, start ups, entrepreneurs... anyone who might need a bit of guidance from an accountant in the UK.

My accounting firm is called The Copper Coins; head over to my website if you need more help than a YouTube video can provide.

DISCLAIMER TIME: Are you my client? No? You don't have an engagement letter from me with my signature on it? Well then I guess you're not my client, not right now at least. So, of course, I have to warn you that this is just general information, just me talking about my experience with accounting, and that my company and I can't be held responsible for what you do with this information. I make these purely to be helpful, but I may have made a mistake, or brushed over some subtleties of the law, or you might be in a situation that means this information is wrong for you. If you want personal accounting advice, go find an accountant and talk to them and maybe hire them. I might be taking on new clients if you want to get in touch. Thanks.
