According to the police report, on May 12, 2024, Roswell police were at the hospital following up on a stabbing call. They encountered a drunk 23-year-old woman who was friends with the stabbing victim. She was told to leave the hospital or be arrested for public intoxication. Police officers then observed her get into a car and drive away. The officers caught up with her and she was eventually told to exit the vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. She completely butchered the finger dexterity test. As a result, she was arrested for DUI. At the police station, she submitted to an evidential breath test and the result was 0.17% BAC, elevating her charge to aggravated DUI. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
