Mortar is mostly used as a bonding material, while concrete is used for structural purposes.
Mortar is less durable , while concrete structures are more durable than mortar.
W/c ratio is higher in mortar, while concrete has lower w/c ratio.
Mortar has to be replaced after every 25-50 years while concrete works for long time.
