An east Nashville tea shop is working to make the world a better place one cup at a time.

Leah and Joel Larabell own the High Garden Tea shop on 1006 Fatherland Street.The shop, with every single display and decoration made by hand by the owners, can be a little overwhelming if you’re unfamiliar with teas and herbs, but Leah said it doesn’t have to be that way.

“We have the tea leaf which is the camilla leaf. So we have those wonderful teas, or we have our herbal which is every other plant in the world,” explained Leah.

The shop doesn’t treat, diagnose or cure ailments with their teas and herbs; however, they do help customers make healthier choices.

“We guide you to the plants and teas and herbs that help nourish the body; herbs to help you find your way,” said Leah.
