SPRO CCTV - How to Password Reset your DVR or NVR Recorder

Forgot your DVR or NVR password? Don't worry, we've got you covered! In this video, we'll walk you through the simple steps to reset the password on your SPRO DVR or NVR recorder, so you can regain access quickly and easily. This guide will help you reset the password without hassle.

Step-by-Step:
1. On the login screen, look for the "Switch User" option and click on it.

2. When the login box appears, ensure that the username is "admin" and look for password recovery icon that is represented by a question mark icon to the right of the password box.

3. A message may appear informing you that the system will collect the MAC address and Serial Number to assist in resetting the password. Click the "OK" button to continue.

4. After, providing you have already input an email address at the point of installation, the recorder will generate a QR code and display it on the left-hand side of the screen. ( Note: if you have not added an email address before, you may be given one more opportunity to do so at this point. Enter a valid email address and click "Next".

5. Using your smartphone, open the DMSS app, witch you can download on the following links:

6. Open the DMSS app.

7. Once in the DMSS app, go to the "Me" section

8. Select "Tools".

9. Click onto the "Reset Device Password"

10. Scan the QR code displayed on the left-hand side of your recorder screen.

11. A message will appear on your smartphone "Successfully requested password reset.", click "OK"

12. You will receive a code on your previously registered email. If the email is not in your inbox, then please check your spam or junk folders.

13. Make a note of this code.

14. Enter the security code exactly how it appeared in your email into the recorder.

15. Login into the system.

16. Input your new password into the "New password" box.

17. Confirm your new password in the "Confirm password" box.

18. Click "OK"

Note: If you are using an NVR you will be asked if you would like to sync your new password with your IP cameras. We strongly recommend you that you click "OK" to this.

You can now login with your new password.
