2009 - May - "Travels With John" The Royal Hudson Ride and Chase to Cloverdale, BC

John is a huge railfan and former railway employee. This Channel has the videos he took of trips he made in an effort to capture trains across the World.
I'm James, aka Skeena Pacific, and John recently found a large number of in-camera dvd originals. (Yes, at one time some cameras recorded directly to DVD Mini-discs) He sent them to me and after going through them all, I found some, as yet, unpublished material. I have edited this raw video into several new videos to post on John's Youtube Channel. I called the whole series "Travels With John" and this is a continuation. In some cases, the video quality is better than other videos presented, as this is taken from original source material recorded in 1440x1080, an early iteration of High Definition Video.

Sometimes the best rail subjects are found in your own backyard. This was the case in 2009 when the West Coast Railway Association (now the Railway Museum of British Columbia) sponsored a railfan trip from New Westminster, BC to Cloverdale, BC on the tracks of the Southern Railway of British Columbia (SRY). Over the two day event, John both rode and chased The Royal Hudson and entourage, taking lots of video.
