CARLOS PLACE
This street was originally called Charles Street but became Carlos Place after the 1st Duke of Westminster redeveloped the area.
No 1 Carlos Place is widely regarded as one of the finest portered period buildings in Mayfair, 50 meters from Connaught Hotel and Berkeley Square.

GROSVENOR SQUARE
Grosvenor Square is the centrepiece of the Mayfair property of The Duke of Westminster and takes its name after the Duke’s surname ‘Grosvenor’.
It was developed for fashionable residencies in the 18th century and was one of the 3 or 4 most fashionable residential addresses in London until the 2nd world war.
In the 20th century it had an American and Canadian diplomatic presence and embassies and hotels.

CHARLES EDMUND PECZENIK
No 48 Grosvenor Square.
A property developer and architect involved with many of London West End Buildings and Kensington Hotel.

THE BARLEY MOW PUB
Located in a Grade II listed building at 82 Duke Street W1 The Barley Mow dates back to the 1800’s when the area surrounding Duke Street began developments and quickly garnered a reputation as the go-to pub in historic Mayfair.
The pub has been owned by Greene Kings but was bought by Cubbitt pubs in 2022.

BROWN HART GARDENS
A 10 000 square feet public garden on top of an electricity substation built in 1905.
To compensate for a previous communal ground level garden for the local residents , The Duke of Westminster insisted that a paved Italian garden be placed on top of the substation. The garden was completed 1906.

UKRAINIAN CATHEDRAL
The building it occupies was designed in 1891 by Alfred Waterhouse for the Congregational King’s Weigh House congregation.
It was sold to the Ukrainian Catholics in 1967. The building was Grade II Listed in 1970.
