This Mass of Thanksgiving celebrated two significant milestones: the 120th anniversary of the founding of the Diocese of Fall River and the 10th anniversary of the installation of the Most Rev. Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V., as Eighth Bishop of Fall River. It took place Sunday, October 6, 2024, in the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption in Fall River. Bishop da Cunha was principal celebrant and homilist.
