Big City Butterflies Project Update 2024

Big City Butterflies is a London-based conservation project supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The project aims to inspire Londoners to discover butterflies and moths, and connect them with nature and their local green spaces through activities relating to habitat management, engagement and recording & monitoring.

Since launching the project in May 2021, the BCB team have been busy delivering activities in 17 boroughs across London - from transforming green spaces into butterfly oases, to working with artists to engage the local community in new ways. Steve and Ele will take you through the project’s progress to date and plans for legacy as they move into the final year.
