Another musical postcard is flying in the wind, sent together with me by the singer Alena Leja. I accompany her singing on the nyckelharp in the song Slavíkovský polečko malý.

‪@alenaleja‬ studied singing, choral conducting and music education in Prague. She regularly performed with early music ensembles such as Karmína (Prague) and Musica Florea (Prague), Ensemble Officium (Tübingen) and Soloists' Ensemble Stimmkunst (Stuttgart). Now Alena lives in Stuttgart and teaches singing at the University of Ludwigsburg.

Alena and I met during Covid first in the online space and for this shoot we only saw each other face to face for the third time. We only had time for one afternoon in Prague, which was really windy and raining. This time, the birds in the treetops are not singing in the background of the postcard, but the wind is blowing through them.
