Joan Burstein, affectionately known as 'Mrs B' or the 'fairy godmother of fashion', founded the pioneering London boutique Browns in 1970 at a time where most still had their clothes made. Despite changing the face of consumer fashion, perhaps her most important contribution has been her unrelenting dedication to supporting young talent. The first to stock John Galliano, Alexander McQueen and Hussein Chalayan, Burstein talks to SHOWstudio about her many years in the business.
