Check out this new pre-alpha gameplay reveal from the upcoming Chinese single player action RPG game Mohist: Dengling Hill also known as 墨者：邓陵之丘. This footage has been provided by Yuno Interactive and edited by us. This first gameplay showcases some parry and sword combat and boss battle. The game might remind you of Sekiro, Lies of P, Wo Long and Black Myth Wukong!

The production team stated that as a small startup, this short gameplay video represents all the effort they've put into it over the past year. It's still rough around the edges, but it truly represents the limits they can achieve at this stage. Their vision for the game would be a planned 20-hour playthrough. Unfortunately, during the development process, the team realized that the existing conditions were not enough to present the game to players in its entirety, so they decided to temporarily shelve the game and instead devote themselves to a new game that they were able to complete solidly at the moment and they will showcase soon.

Description:

Players will take on the role of a disciple of the Mohist school, exploring, fighting, and making choices to trace their roots and forge their own path in this realistic and rugged world at the end of the Qin Dynasty.

Gameplay Features:

Parry System: Grounded martial arts combat system focused on swordplay and precise parrying. This deflect/parry system is similar to Sekiro or Wo Long. The combat seems focused on martial arts precision, timing, and posture. The movement is grounded, emphasizing the weight of the weapon and the impact of the strikes.

Unreal Engine 5 Visuals: The game uses Unreal Engine 5 to create a very atmospheric, foggy, and mysterious mountain setting.
