☸️ Welcome to the video "Why People Are Born With Differences?"
Perhaps sometimes you wonder why people are born with differences. Some people are beautiful, some are ugly, some are rich, some are poor, some are born with diseases, some are healthy. What determines our fate?
In this sutta, the Buddha specifically explained which karma determines our beauty, health, wealth or longevity. Let's listen together:
1️⃣ About the reasons why people are beautiful or ugly
Buddha preached about the causes of being born ugly as follows:
"Being quick-tempered, often holding a lot of anger, when offended by others, even the slightest bit, anger, hatred, and anger arise, causing harm. Cruel actions and displays of cruelty create negative karma that leads to making people ugly and having rough, scary skin".
Next, the Buddha preached about the cause of being born as a beautiful person
"The character of not being angry or angry; When offended by others, there is no anger, no resentment, no anger, no harm. Not acting cruelly, not showing cruelty is creating good karma, leading to the result of being a person with a beautiful body and admirable rosy skin".
2️⃣ About the reasons why people have few diseases and people have many diseases
The Buddha preached about the causes of being born as a person with many diseases as follows:
"Often torturing and tormenting living beings with hands and feet, or by throwing stones, or beating with sticks, or with weapons... is creating bad karma that leads to many diseases".
Next, the Buddha explained the causes of being born as a person with few illnesses as follows:
"Not torturing or tormenting living beings with your hands or feet, or by throwing stones, or hitting with sticks, or with weapons... is to create good karma that leads to the result of making people less sick".
3️⃣ About the reasons why people die young and people live long
The Buddha preached about the causes of premature death as follows:
'Killing the lives of living beings, cruel heart, bloody hands, passionate about killing living beings. Not having compassion for all suffering beings is creating evil karma that leads to premature death"
Next, the Buddha preached about the causes of being born as long-lived people as follows:
"Do not kill the lives of sentient beings, stay away from killing, give up the weapons of killing, know the shame of sin and know the fear of sin. Pitying all sentient beings, having compassion and kindness towards all sentient beings, creates good karma that results in a long life".
4️⃣ About the reasons why rich people are poor
The Buddha preached about the causes of being born poor as follows:
"The act of not giving away rice, water, food, cloth, vehicles, flowers, scents, ointments, places to lie down, accommodation to Samanas, Brahmins... is creating evil karma leading to the result of being a poor person".
Next, the Buddha preached about the reasons for being born rich as follows:
"The habit of giving alms of rice, water, cloth, vehicles, flowers, scents, rubs, places to lie down, shelter to Samanas, Brahmins... is to create good karma leading to the result of being a person with a lot of wealth".
The meaning of the previous sutra passage is not only giving alms and offerings to monks and brahmins but also extending to everyone. For example, when we give alms to the poor and needy people, we also bring blessings that help us become rich.
5️⃣ About the reasons why people have more power and less power
The Buddha explained the reasons for being born as a person with little power as follows
"Being jealous, being jealous, being jealous of other people's benefits, offerings, respect, love, worship, and offerings is creating negative karma that leads to the result of being a person with little power".
Next, the Buddha explained the reasons for being born as a powerful person as follows:
"Not being jealous, not showing jealousy. Not being jealous of other people's benefits, offerings, respect, love, worship, and offerings is creating good karma that leads to being a powerful person"
