Legend Nandamuri Bala Krishna Speaks on Music Director Chakri's death and Pay Respects - 99tv

Chakradhar Gilla known as Chakri born 15 June 1974 is an Indian music composer and singer. He works for Tollywood films.

Chakri was born in Mahabubabad, Warangal district, Telangana. He has one brother and three sisters
He won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer – Telugu for the film Satyam(2003).

Chakri has composed music for around 85 movies so far. He started his career as music director with the movie Bachi directed by Puri Jagannadh. As a composer he introduced many new talents (Singers and Lyricist). He won best singer award for Sathyam in the Tollywood Filmfare Awards and a Nandi Award for Simha.[1][2]

He is generally considered to have hits in the month of January, which is considered to be Sankranthi (a Telugu festival) season in Andhra Pradesh. This is due to movies such as Devadasu (2006), Desamuduru (2007), Krishna (2008) and Maska (2009) in straight years during Sankranthi. Chakri died on 15th December 2014.
