Hey guys! So i've been posting quite a few work in progress pictures over on Instagram of how I made this dagger and thought I would show you the process in a video :) This is hopefully going to be part of an upcoming project so be on the lookout for that!

How To Make The Dagger:
1. Draw and cut a dagger shape out of some cardboard.
2. Repeat this step 6 times so you have a total of 6 cut outs.
3. Layer on and stick each cutout together and let the whole thing dry.
4. When it's dry start to shave off the edges using a craft knife to make the dagger more rounded (please be careful whilst using the craft knife though!)
5. After you have rounded out the dagger now it's time to sand it down and make it smooth.
6. Then get some tan coloured tissue paper, rip it up into bits and stick it on to the dagger (excluding the handle) using some PVA glue. You may want to do this 2/3 times and make sure to coat the whole thing in glue afterwards.
7. Whilst that is drying you can create the handle by wrapping twine around it, securing that with a hot glue gun (again please be careful as the glue can get very hot). I did a basic wrap around the whole of the handle and then put in a little extra design at the end)
8. When the blade is dry go ahead and paint a couple coats of white paint as the base coat.
9. Create a creamy colour with the paint and paint a couple coats of that on top.
10. To finish the dagger and give it a worn and 'boney' look, go over with some greys, off whites, maybe a bit of red and any colours that you think will give it that rustic look. I also concentrated a lot of the grey down where the handle meets the blade.
