COMPOST DISTRIBUTION EVENT IN EASTERN PROVINCE

ICRAF,UR-COEB, and RAB, were awarded grant by the African Deveolpment Bank (AfDB),to support the project entitled "Promoting climate smart agriculture for improved rural livelihoods and climate resilience in the climate-vulnerable Eastern Province of Rwanda (ACCF Project)". one of the key outputs under this project is hands on training of farmers on preparation of the compost , and this training was conducted in March 2024. therefore the project team facilitated in the distribution of the compost, a vital component of our efforts, to enhance soil fertility, boost agricultural productivity and promote sustainable farming practices in the region. the event took place in 4 districts, namely Nyagatare, Gatsibo, Kayonza and Kirehe Districts, from 28-30 August 2024.
