Ever wondered how the pros dice an onion?

It's quite easy with a little practice.

🧅Remove the top. This creates a flat surface
🧅Flip the onion on said flat surface and cut in half through the root. Now you have two halves with flat surfaces
🧅Remove the skin and make sure the cutting board is free of debris
🧅Place one half in the center of the board, flat side down
🧅Place your non knife holding palm face down on the top of the onion half
🧅Take the blade of the knife and hold it towards the onion
🧅Starting on the bottom and working your way to the top, slice in towards the root according to the size dice you want
🧅Slice across the onion WITH THE GRAIN, starting at the end of the onion furthest from you and cutting towards you
🧅Slice down the onion ACROSS THE GRAIN - this will create the diced onion
