We have had our Jayco Journey Outback 15.48-6 for 6 months. We have upgraded from a Jayco Swan which was fantastic. After using our new Jayco Journey outback pop top 15.48-6 we have found it to be so much easier to set up. Once you’ve levelled the caravan, popped the top and put the awning out, that is pretty much all that you have to do to set up apart from putting out camp chairs and table.
For our family of four, I have found that they layout is perfect. We find that there is plenty of storage. The only difference which i miss about the Jayco Swan is the open see through windows around where the canvas space is. Other than that, everything works well for the purpose.
In this video I briefly run through the outside of the Jayco Journey Outback 15.48-6 Caravan as well as the inside. We have previously camped in tents as well as a forward fold camper trailer and this by far is a million times easier to setup.
The shower is external so you do need a pop up shower tent or what we have which is a KickAss shower tent which works brilliantly. We have worked out a system where we mount it to the back of the caravan off the bike rack (video on that to come)
There is also no toilet inside the Jayco Journey 15.48-6 caravan but we use a portable toilet which we empty at a dump point e dry 2 or 3 days of usage which is ok when you are using toilet chemicals in it to stop smells and gas buildup.
Overall we love our Jayco Journey Outback.15.48-6 Caravan and definitely recommend it to anyone looking at buying one.
