Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at the Seaflo 25 Amp Float Switch for the 12 Volt DC Bilge Pumps. Now, this float switch will convert your manual bilge pump to automatic operation. The switch will activate your pump when the water level reaches two inches and it turns the pump off when the water level reaches one inch. Now, this switch can be used with any make or model bilge pump drawing up to 25 amps.

This is a nice ultrasonic welded body, which is water tight. It is mercury free. It is designed to work with 12 volt DC pumps. And this part does meet the ISO 8846 marine standards. You can see when you mount this down, and you can hear it when it gets up that high, it'll click on, turns the pump on.

And then when it gets one inch, it'll turn it off. It is a very easy installation. It does come with the two-inch stainless steel screws that attach this down. Comes with a nice set of instructions and a manual describes how to install it and how it operates. Now, one note I do want to mention is when you do mount the switch, you do want to make sure the switch does not surpass 30 degrees sideways, which would be this way, and five degrees front to back. And it does specify that in the manual.

The wire length on this, it gives you three feet of wire. The wire size is 14 gauge. Maximum power draw on this is 25 amps at 12 volts DC. Last thing I want to do is just give you the overall dimensions on the switch. Length of it, one end to the other is right at five and a quarter inches.

The width on it, the widest point, it's going to be right at three inches. And the overall height, total height, is one and a quarter inches tall. But again, when this is installed, you can see that it'll lift up, and then switches on, switches off. But that should do it for the review on the Seaflo 25 Amp Float Switch for the 12 Volt DC Bilge Pumps.
