The Hilleberg Saivo is a three person four season tent. It is a semi freestanding tent which means you only need to stake out the vestibules but the structure of the tent itself is completely supported by the poles. This tent is designed for the worst conditions on exposed mountain ledges but will surely work for any camping scenario.

I've had this tent for over five years and it is by far the strongest tent in my quiver. It does weigh a backbreaking 12 pounds with the footprint attached and takes up a pretty serious amount of pack volume, but there are ways around that. This tent is generally used in winter so I toss it on my ski pulk and the weight and bulk are no issue then.

The ventilation that this tent has is unmatched in any other tent you're likely to use. There are vents and screens on every panel of the tent and I've never had a problem with condensation. When used in winter with two -40 degree bags there is still a good amount of room to move around in but living conditions do become a little snug, but that's alright.

This tent has loads of pockets. 12 I beleive. These pockets are large enough for a book, maps, phones, a tablet, etc. The interior pockets basically encircle the whole of the tent and give you so many stowage options.

For a retail price of $1440, this tent is no joke. Do you really need it? You probably don't. If you are actually going on an expedition to Denali or an 8,000 meter peak, this tent could be a life saver.
