This video demonstrates my new medieval setup for replica medieval Gaelic harps, with na comhluighe (the sister strings) at middle c'. The harp is strung with Malcolm Rose's historical yellow brass music wire, plus seven hard-drawn sterling silver bass strings.

Let me know what you think. I am unsure about the sound of the harp. Are the silver basses acceptable, or do I need to replace some of them with gold? Do you like the high, hard, fizzing sound of the harp in this setup?
