In this episode of "Permit Pro Tips", we are going to discuss Signing and Notarizing Permit Documents.

As part of the required documentation for city submission, the owner will have to sign and notarize required documents such as permit application, notice of commencement and contract between owner and contractor. Most cities in South Florida require the contract to be submitted.

In addition, the contractor and any sub contractor will also have to sign and notarize the permit applications, contract for provided work and contractor registration if they are not already registered with that particular city.

In order to save time and money, the owner, contractor and sub contractors should sign and notarize all their respective sections at one time.

In South Florida, almost all building departments will require documents to be originals.
