Pacific Northwest Garden Supply Ltd was started in 1993 with one store in Surrey B.C. by Steven Betts. Previously working in the hydroponics industry Steven had a strong desire to learn and sell hydroponic equipment as well as support urban agriculture.

With the location and timing ripe for growth, Steven brought on his first partner Justin Cooper to help him with the original location. This dynamic duo that started the original location have now been responsible for building the largest privately owned hydroponics chain in Canada.

The philosophy that is carried throughout the company is “making others successful in their gardening efforts in turn makes yourself successful”.
