If you are still using the Merge and Center functionality in Excel, you have to STOP!
This is a bad practice, especially when you are working with big tables and datasets in tabular format.

The issue with merged cells are:
1️⃣ It makes difficult to reference ranges in a formula and can cause inaccurate results.
2️⃣ If a table has a merged cell, you won't be able to filter values

Instead of doing this, you can use Center Across Selection by following these steps:
1️⃣ Select the range where you want to center the value
2️⃣ Press CTRL 1
3️⃣ Go to the alignment tab
4️⃣ From Horizontal Text Alignment, select "Center Across Selection"
5️⃣ Click OK

This will center the value across the columns and will allow you to easily reference cells and apply filters
