Aside the Dead Sea in Israel, the lowest place on earth, is a unique mountain. This mountain is made entirely of salt, just like the salt you'd find in your kitchen! The mountain is called Mount Sodom and within it is the Colonel Cave, the 'great salt cellar', a natural wonder which you are invited to explore.

There are fancy stalactites, winding passages and huge gaps which have barely ever seen the light of day.

The entrance to the cave is adorned by the 80 meter deep well which continues leads into the underground meandering channels. In every corner of the Colonel Cave one can discover beauty - thin threads of white stalactites, salty "snow" under the feet, crystals, whilst salty walls shaped as "wings" sound like bells and sparkle with myriads of lights like precious stones.

Here you will also find a stone "library" of paleontological artifacts. A few minutes of simple digging will reveal the imprints of trilobite, seaweed and even fish! What a great souvenir to take back home!

Cave Colonel is the same temperature all year round (+25°С) which makes it a warm shelter from the cold winter winds and naturally air-conditioned haven amid the hot Dead Sea summer.

This underground world is available only for a few, so the glory of "elite" is waiting for anyone who decides to visit Colonel.
