As chef and owner of Ayam Tangkap Aceh Rayeuk in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, many people suspect Astrid Enricka is Acehnese. In fact, he was born in Dumai, Riau and then grew up in Bandung, West Java. After completing his education in the Department of French Literature, Padjadjaran University, Astrid then continue his profession as a television show producer. But his passion for the culinary world has led Astrid to leave the job and then go to Aceh to learn the local cuisine. Starting from there, Astrid continues the journey to taste and preserve the taste of cuisine from various regions in Indonesia through the Aku Cinta Masakan Indonesia (ACMI)-I Love Indonesian Food community, which is run with senior chef William Wongso. Together with the community, Astrid would like to invite more people to understand Indonesia's culinary heritage, both at home and abroad.
